Welcome to LDA!

We’re so excited you're here! Here’s a little bit about what makes our dance studio so special.

LDA is a technique-focused dance program rooted in ballet. We offer classes in ballet, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, hiphop, and pointe, all with a strong emphasis on building solid technical skills. Ballet is required for enrollment, and our studio is a closed viewing space — meaning we reserve the studio and lobby for dancers and faculty, allowing them to focus fully on their training.

Class Placement
We believe every dancer’s journey is unique, so we place students in classes based on both their age and current skill level.

  • Ages 3-9 with less than 4 years of experience will be placed in Pre-1, Pre-2, or Level 1.

  • Ages 10-19 with 4+ years of experience will be placed in Level 2-6, based on their experience and evaluation during their first week of classes.

  • All level assessments for Studio Program dancers are done in person during a dancer's first week of classes.

  • Dancers interested in the Elite Competitive Program who miss the April/May Prescreen Classes and/or Auditions may be evaluated via video submission.

Our Approach
At LDA, we’re all about fostering a positive and nurturing environment where dancers can thrive. Our classes are independent, with a focus on technique and building confidence. We start with ballet and dance terminology from day one — providing a strong foundation for every dancer.

As a small, female-owned studio, we intentionally keep class sizes small (we have a 15 student cap on Pre-Levels and a 25 student cap on levels 1-7) to give our students the attention they deserve. Because of this, our classes fill up quickly, so we encourage early registration!

Class Structure
Our program is perfect for dancers who want to specialize in dance and take multiple genres per week. We love working with dancers of all levels and are proud that most of our advanced dancers began their journey with us in our pre-level program!

Studio Policies

  • There Are No Refunds: Once registered, dancers are committed to the entire session. However, a dancer may change classes and/or add genres at any time (space permitting).

  • Absences/ Class Make-ups: We understand that life happens! Dancers can make up to 15% of missed classes per session in a comparable leveled class within one week (space permitting) of absence. We do not allow make-ups within one month of performance dates or during summer session.

  • Performances Requirements: LDA holds two full staged performances, one in December and one in June, each year. Dancers in Levels 1-7 are required to participate in order to register for classes. Pre-level dancers DO NOT have a performance requirement.

  • Dress Code Requirement. All dancers are REQUIRED to have their hair in a bun for ALL CLASSES and to wear class uniform. Please click HERE for the LDA Dress Code page. Students must arrive to class dressed and ready to dance.

  • Tardy/Late Policy: All dancers must be check-in at the lobby front door no earlier then 10 minutes before class and must arrive no later then 10 minutes after class has begun. All dancers must be picked up no later then 10 minutes after the end of their last class to avoid a late pick-up fee.

Registration & Discounts

  • Family Registration Fee: $50 annually for all families, due in Fall or at time of start.

  • Discounts: We offer tuition discounts for dancers taking multiple classes and/or participating in intensives.

  • Tuition information can be received via email: please email us for more information on your child's level and to receive the current session registration link complete with tuition, session dates, and performance info!

Placement Evaluations
We do not offer free trial classes, all new dancers are placed in levels based on their age and experience level and then evaluated by faculty during their first week of classes at LDA. If you have an intermediate or advanced level dancer coming from another program please submit video of a recent performance or competition for more evaluation options. If a dancer is a better fit for an alternate level we will contact you with all of your class options!

Welcome Tour for New Families

Once your student is registered for classes we will contact you to set up a personal 15 minute welcome tour with our Studio Manager! We will show you the studio, go over any questions you might have, adjust your dancer’s schedule to make sure they’re in the right class for their skill level as needed, and set up your payment account.

Studio Fit & Expectations
We believe that LDA is the best fit for families who are committed to a focused, long-term dance journey. We work closely with families to ensure our program aligns with their dancer’s goals, and we’re here to support them every step of the way.
